8BIT is leading a powerful movement to make STEAM and robotics more accessible, starting in Jerusalem and reaching far beyond. We work with partners around, host community events, passing training sessions and scrimmages, and help improve the next generation of teams. Our goal is to use robotics to teach innovation, leadership, and drive meaningful change in education and society
FLL Volunteers
Since its founding, 8BIT has proudly sent volunteers to FLL Challenge tournaments across Israel, serving as referees, judges, queuers, and more.
Each year, we also help organize the Jerusalem FLL Challenge as part of the city’s FRC alliance.
We believe every student deserves the chance to experience the inspiration and excitement of FIRST—just as we did.
Jerusalem FRC Cooperation
For the past five years, Jerusalem’s FRC teams—Team Streak #7067, Team Koi #6230, Tiger Team #2679, and 8BIT #7845—have united to champion STEAM across the city. In partnership with the Municipality of Jerusalem, we’re expanding the FIRST community and bringing the world of STEAM to more people than ever. Together, we believe Jerusalem can become the robotics capital of Israel.

Captains Conference
8BIT, in collaboration with BumbleB #3339 and Elysium #1937, organizes a national Captains’ Conference for all FRC teams in Israel. Founded in 2021, the conference is held three times a year, with each team taking turns to host at their workshop. At each event, we invite mentors and alumni to share their insights and experiences, guiding team captains to grow and lead more effectively throughout their term.
FLL Jerusalem Training Competition
Since 2017, 8BIT has hosted an annual FLL Challenge training competition for all FLL Challenge teams in Jerusalem. Teams take part in the full seasonal challenge, including Core Values, Innovation Project, and Robot Design judging sessions. Throughout the event, experienced judges provide valuable feedback to help teams improve and prepare for the official tournament.
JOS - Jerusalem Off Season
Since 2022, 8BIT has hosted an annual FLL Challenge Off-Season competition open to all FLL Challenge teams. The event includes the full seasonal challenge along with Core Values, Innovation Project, and Robot Design judging sessions. Throughout the day, experienced judges provide constructive feedback to help teams reflect, improve, and gear up for the next season.
